Rivet Boutique Matchmaking is a dating service that combines online dating with traditional matchmaking. We offer present-day matchmaking providing highly personalized and selective date experiences for young-at-heart professionals seeking something meaningful.
Our database currently focuses on professionals in the NYC/NJ metro areas, ages 30 and up. We currently serve, and remain open to serving, daters and clients outside of the NYC/NJ area.
How do I become a dater?
Here at Rivet, we refer to anyone who will potentially go on a date through our services as a “dater.” All daters must first apply to join the database. After applying, there is a 30-minute screening process via video call. Upon review and approval by the Rivet team, the applicant will become a dater.
All daters must submit participation paperwork prior to being set up on any dates including acknowledgment of Rivet policies.
There is no financial investment to become a dater. Daters go on dates when there are clients who match their profiles and are selected to be a match for a client by the Rivet team.
How do I become a client?
Clients apply in the same way they would apply to be a dater. The difference comes in the process that follows submitting participation paperwork. There will be a one-hour Client Meeting to discuss dating preferences and more.
Clients make a financial investment to participate in Rivet’s database.
Is this service safe?
All our daters have the privilege of knowing that we are doing as much as we can to ensure that you feel safe with your matches. As part of that process, we inform every dater that a screening will be conducted on behalf of the company. An equitable background search may take place as well, meaning a search that exclude non-violent drug possession charges, loitering, vagrancy, and more minor traffic tickets, besides DUIs and vehicular manslaughter, as defined by Rivet, may be conducted.
Additionally, our participation paperwork includes other measures to ensure that daters are honest and reliable.
Does Rivet provide discretion?
Our process is centered on discretion and confidentiality for all of our daters. Identifying information for all of our daters is kept confidential to the Rivet team until a date is agreed upon by both client and match.
How will my match be selected?
A certified matchmaker will lead your match search using the information you submit to establish your profile, screening notes, and professional experience to tailor each date to you and your dating goals.
What does it cost to become a Rivet client?
We currently offer one package, tailored to clients' needs. That package includes 3 introductions.
How big is the Rivet database?
We are a boutique matchmaking firm so our current expectation is that our client list will not exceed a 1:15 matchmaker to client ratio. However, our database can be filled with however many daters we will approve.
How often will I go on dates?
As a client, packages are intended to support one match per month or completion of your package, whichever comes sooner. As a dater, you will be contacted whenever there is a suitable client match for you.
